ARCHIVE: The Mercedes SLK bodied G-Wagon!

ARCHIVE: Mercedes did make a convertible G-Wagon many years ago but this example is obviously a custom job. It’s a Mercedes SLK bodied G-Wagon. I’m not sure how well it handles around corners but no doubt the owner can just drive over the bend if they want. All kidding aside, this Mercedes was a bit famous at the turn of the century, and it’s called the Millennium Mercedes as a result. It’s based on the original G-Wagon and powered by Mercedes’ 6-Cylinder Turbo-Diesel engine. I took this photo a couple decades ago but thought I’d share this since it’s basically been forgotten. It’s rumored to be hiding in storage in Southern California, USA - WINK WINK - I actually know where it’s in storage but can’t say due to confidentiality.
